越来越多证据，这次事件是安提法（Antifa）挑起，现场视频可听到特朗普支持者对带头砸窗的人大声喝斥“安提法”，并将那人拉下。《华盛顿时报》（The Washington Times）报导，开发面部辨识系统的XRVision公司利用其人脸辨识软件，对闯进国会的人分析发现，两名男子应是费城的安提法成员，其中一人有纹身，纹身图样表明他支持斯大林主义。当然，安提法挑起事端后，一些不明真相的特朗普支持者也被裹挟了进去。
安提法的真正名称是“美国革命共产党”（Revoluntionary Communist Party，USA），它和“黑命贵”背后有中共资金支持甚至策划组织，去年夏天他们火攻白宫的视频中可听到有华人用标准的普通话喊“快走，走走走”，中共驻华盛顿大使馆的张姓武官似乎在现场指挥。这次事件，背后也很可能有中共，大家拭目以待。
